Raising awareness - leading to early detection, diagnosis and treatment, as well as providing information and support - are the main aims of Prostate Scotland’s work.
When you apply for your charity place: please also register to support Prostate Scotland at prostatescotland.org.uk/events. We can process your application quicker - thank you!
We provide information, advice and support about prostate disease and prostate cancer via our award-winning interactive website prostatescotland.org.uk - this includes details about what the prostate is, what it does, what can go wrong, what can be done about it, and a symptom self-checker. Our range of prostate information booklets is continuously updated and supplied free of charge to hospitals, GP practices, health centres and community centres throughout Scotland. We run Workplace Tool Kit and Tool Box Workshops to provide prostate information to employees in the workplace.
We've increased our range of support services for men with prostate cancer and disease and their families including living well with prostate cancer courses as well as one-to-one support in many areas of Scotland. Our newest support service includes Prostate FFIT, our 12 week exercise programme in partnership with the SPFL Trust and the University of Glasgow, for men affected by prostate cancer.
By joining Team Prostate Scotland you can help us to help others and help us make a difference to people living with prostate cancer and disease. Your support through running in aid of our work will be a real help towards enabling us at Prostate Scotland to make a positive difference to the health of Scottish men - and you will be able to join those who can truly say they have run their socks off to help others.
